American Idol have introduced a fourth Judge onto the panel, in order the freshen up this years series. And it seems that award winning songwriter Kara DioGuardi is just the girl for the job.

Producer Simon Fuller said,

“We are turning the heat up on Idol this year and are thrilled to welcome Kara to the judges’ table. She is a smart, sassy lady, and one of America’s most successful songwriters.  We know she will bring a new level of energy and excitement to the show.”

Look forward to seeing her on the show, and it’ll be good to have some rivalry for Paula.

During the filming of American Idol contestant David Cook was apparently rushed into hospital after suffering from high blood pressure and heart palpitations.

According to sources David has been extremely stressed, not only dealing with the live shows every week, but David also has personal problems which have been affecting him.

David’s brother is currently recovering from cancer, and last week suffered a set back in his treatment, which of course has affected David.

David Cook a true profession, managed to perform for the judging panel, and although feeling ill decided he wanted to wait until the show had ended before seeking medical help.  After the show David was taken straight to the emergency room, where he was given treatment by a private doctor. Although David is said to be okay now, Doctors will still be monitoring his health closely to make sure he doesn’t fall ill again.
