Pop sensation Corinne Bailey Rae, was given devastating news last night after her husband died of a suspected drink and drug overdose.

 Jason Rae, 31 was a party loving sax player, who performed in Corinne’s backing band and has also toured with Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson.

So far no official statement has been given for the reason behind his sudden death, police are currently waiting on toxicology results, but a man aged 32 has been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs.

Corinne who’s biggest hit was “Put Your Records On”, leads a quiet lifestyle. Winning a Grammy and two mobos for her smash hit album, she shy’s away from the party lifestyle and always talked about how she missed her husband Jason when touring,

She said: “I’ve never appreciated him more in my life. When I’m away, I realise how rare what we have is and I can’t wait to get back to it. “If you only get three days at home, you make it a really good three days.”

This must be just absolute heartbreaking news for poor Corrine, to lose her husband so young. Our condolences are with both her and Jason’s family.
