He might not be as much of a dreamboat as his older brother William, but there is something about Harry in his uniform that does it for us.
The Prince, secretly went out to fight in the war earlier this year and was enjoying a successful first tour of duty. It was only when the press leaked his whereabouts that Harry who is third in line to the throne, was pulled out early and forced to come home.
But now Harry, 23 is desperate to head back to Iraq, to continue his career with the army. It is now down to Royal Officials to see if it would be safe for Harry to return to fight again.
“Harry has made no secret of the fact he wants to be there when the regiment returns to the front line next year. He said the experience of leading his men into battle is one he hopes he can repeat. And with one mission under his belt, he has the skills and experience which will make him an extremely valuable member of the battle group.”
“Once again it is the powers-that-be who will decide if Harry can have his wish. Again, the issue is whether his mere presence in the theatre of war will make his men an added target for the Taliban. For now he will carry on doing his job just like the rest of his men. No matter how long it takes for him to get a decision, it is important he continues training so he is battle-ready if required”
Let’s hope Harry get his wish, and the press keep it secret this time.
